" The Detective "

" The Detective "  is not an official nor factual ( as in professional ) portrait. It is a portrayal of what I felt looked like a detective or investigator . The drawing represents not what is commonly thought of as the black and white of investigation work but the resulting grey product that can emerge and the empirical wisdom .... I like to say of the character portrayed when I look at him, " it's as if he's seen it all, all of it in so many forms that you can not surprise him easily or at all anymore, he see's right through everything "
